Choosing the right fabric: a practical guide for apparel brands
Fleece, mesh, drill, denim or seamless knit? How to match fabric to product, price point and customer.

Fabric is the single biggest factor in how a garment feels, performs and sells. Here is how we guide brands through the decision.
Performance and training
Polyester and polyester-spandex blends dominate sportswear for good reason: they wick moisture, dry quickly and hold sublimated color. For compression and gym wear, nylon-spandex and seamless knits add stretch, recovery and a premium handfeel.
Streetwear and lifestyle
Brushed cotton-poly fleece is the backbone of hoodies and sweatshirts. Weight matters — 300 to 400 GSM feels substantial and drapes beautifully for oversized fits. For outerwear, 100% cotton denim offers structure and ages well.
Workwear and uniforms
Cotton drill and poly-cotton twills balance durability and comfort, and survive industrial laundering. For hi-vis garments, coated polyester delivers fluorescence and weather resistance.
Ask for swatches
Before committing, request fabric swatches and a sample. Touching and wearing the fabric is the fastest way to align on quality — and we are happy to send options side by side.
